London-based jazz pianist Jascha Bingham recently led his trio to claim the Grand Prize at the 2024 Bucharest International Jazz Competition.

A rising presence in the UK scene, his music has featured on Jazz FM (Eastern Europe), and he has performed at major festivals including the Manchester, Leeds, and Scarborough Jazz Festivals, as well as the Lush Life stage at the We Out Here Festival.

Focusing on the explorative reinvention of jazz standards, his playing is characterised by a continuous focus on emotional expression, lyricism, and nuance, prioritising clarity and the avoidance of the superfluous. He takes particular inspiration from jazz icons such as Keith Jarrett, Herbie Hancock and Bill Evans.
